Kiva is the world’s first person-to-person micro-lending website, empowering individuals to lend directly to unique entrepreneurs in the developing world.
I have created a Montreal NewTech Lending Team page, so if you have lended money to other entrepreneurs through Kiva, please join our community there. If you haven’t, I encourage you to check it out. The site is full of hard working entrepreneurs from developing countries, you can lend as little as $25 and make a huge difference in somebody’s life and their community.

The first Montreal NewTech Meetup will be held at Station-C (5369 Boulevard Saint-Laurent #430) on October 7th. If you’re planning on attending it, please RSVP at http://newtech.meetup.com/127/calendar/8674645/
We’re also looking for four startups who would like to demo their latest product and get feedback from the Montreal Tech Community. If you’re interested, please email me at demo@mtlnewtech.com.
Each demo will last five minutes, followed by a five minutes Q&A. At the end of the demos, we’ll have about one hour to ask additional questions and network.
We hope to see you all there!
